To ensure the highest quality outcomes Infotek Resource Managers are accountable for all aspects of the hiring cycle from recruiting to finally engaging the candidate. This includes, at minimum:

  • Telephone pre-screening
  • In-person interviews
  • Minimum of 3 supervisory references
  • Confirmation of certifications
  • Technical testing
  • Behavioural testing

 

 

For specialized staffing situations and to meet unique customer needs, InfotekDirect can further evaluate candidates using our experienced recruiting team plus peer-review by other IT professionals to provide:

  • Breadth and depth of the candidate's technology coverage, to distinguish specialists from well-rounded, broadly experienced generalists
  • Probative questioning on theory, to distinguish “builders” who know how to use tools from “designers” who can apply theory to produce innovative designs
  • Case study/simulation where the candidate reviews a business problem and constraints, then produces a technical solution which is presented to a review committee
  • An evaluation of the candidate’s business acumen, ensuring a suitable comfort and presence in communicating with business colleagues as well as technical peers
  • A review of the candidate’s published material (eg: white papers, journals)
  • The candidate's approach to technical professionalism (ie: engineer, doctor, lawyer mentality versus “just an IT person”)
